Privacy
Theory collects almost nothing, because it needs almost nothing. There is no account, no tracking pixel and no advertising network on this site.
What we store
When you publish a theory we store what you published: the title, the thesis, the basket, the reasoning and the tags. That is public by design, it appears on a public page, and it is the whole point of publishing.
We do not ask for your name, your email address or a password, because there is nothing to sign into.
What happens to a thesis you type
A thesis you submit is sent to a language model to build the basket. Today that is DeepSeek, with Google Gemini as a fallback when DeepSeek is unavailable. Your sentence leaves our servers to reach them. If you would rather it did not, do not type it.
A thesis you never publish is not saved by us. It is still processed by the model provider under their own terms.
Logs
Our host keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period, to keep the service running and to rate limit abuse. We do not build profiles from them.
Your browser
We store one thing in your browser: whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It never leaves your device and it is not a tracking cookie.
On chain
Anything written to Robinhood Chain is public and permanent, and neither we nor anyone else can delete it. That includes a thesis stored in a vault and the address that created it. Treat a wallet address as public information.
Removal
Ask us at hey@theory.fund and we will take a published theory off this site. We cannot remove anything already written on chain, because nobody can.
